At this time, primary care providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, registered clinical counsellors, registered social workers or school counsellors) can refer individuals to the BounceBack® Coaching program. The primary referrer retains clinical responsibility for the individual, meaning they have the necessary training to assess suicide risk, determine next steps, and ensure that appropriate follow-up and treatments are provided.
If you work in a field outside of the listed primary care providers above and support individuals with their health and well-being, you may be eligible to become a secondary referrer. Read more about the process here.
